Casa Bellavista is a beautiful apartment for four people which overlooks the sea and the Amalfi coast. It has its own private terrace with stunning views. The apartment has air-conditioning, and heating in winter.
Casa Bellavista has high, vaulted ceilings and is beautifully decorated throughout with hand-made majolica tiles in the typical style of the Amalfi Coast. Furniture throughout is tasteful and elegant.
Casa Bellavista is situated about 100 metres above the sea, in a prominent position with commanding views of the breathtaking rocky coastline.
Casa Bellavista is part of a small group of old houses clustered on a rocky cliff top, bathed in sunlight and overlooking the sparkling sea, and surrounded by scented terraced lemon groves. The local lifestyle here is much the same as it has been for centuries, away from noise and tourists. The tiny village has an ancient church, and stone stairways that weave between the houses and descend from the cliff top right down to the beach and the sea.
The climb down this pathway to the sea is highly recommended at least once during your stay, you will be rewarded with unforgettable memories, fascinating scenery, the heady perfume of the surrounding greenery and enchanting views of the blue water way down below.
There is a good choice of beaches to visit. You can take the bus to Amalfi, which has a big public and private beach. From the port in Amalfi you can also take a small boat to many of the tiny inlets dotted along the coastline.
The beautiful beach of Santa Croce is well worth the descent down 400 rock-cut steps, an amazing experience in itself. To get back up again, you can take a short boat-ride by sea to Amalfi and from there take the bus back to your apartment.
In spring and summer, there are open restaurants and bars on the beaches and you can rent beach umbrellas and deck chairs. Some private beaches also have showers and changing rooms. In Amalfi, beside the small boats which can take you to other places along the coast, you can also go scuba diving, hire a canoe or take part in water sports.


Accommodation:

Casa Bellavista is approximately 70 square metres and consists of a living room, kitchen, walk-through en-suite double bedroom, second en-suite double bedroom, bathroom/utility room and terrace
The living room has a sofa and two armchairs, and a dining area with a table that can seat six people. There is satellite television and an air-conditioning/heating unit. There is a french door with a view of the sea and the Amalfi coast, through which you can go out onto the terrace.
From the living room there are three steps up to the well-equipped and modern kitchen. There is a four-burner gas hob, an electric oven, a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and both Italian and American-style coffee-makers.
The first bedroom is reached through the kitchen, and it has a french door that opens onto the terrace. The bedroom has a king-size double bed and satellite television, and it has an air conditioning/heating unit. There is an en-suite bathroom with washbasin, toilet and hydro-massage shower. Please be aware that bedroom two is reached through bedroom one.
The second bedroom is reached through the first bedroom, and it has a french door that opens onto the terrace. The bedroom has a king-size double bed and satellite television, and it has an air conditioning/heating unit. There is an en-suite bathroom with washbasin, toilet and fully enclosed shower. Please be aware that bedroom two is reached through bedroom one.
The bathroom/utility room is equipped with washbasin, toilet, shower and washing machine. The bathroom/utility room also has a door out onto the terrace.
The terrace is approximately 50 square metres and is well equipped with table, chairs and sun-loungers. From the terrace there are amazing views over the sea and a stretch of the Amalfi Coast, as far as the gulf of Salerno in the far distance.
The apartment is situated roughly 3 km (1.8 miles) from Amalfi. The closest restaurant is roughly 1.5 km (1 mile) away, there are shops within 300 metres and the bus stop for both local and SITA buses is only a few metres away.
From road level, the apartment is reached by going for about 40 metres down a public path which includes 35 steps. The closest beach is approximately 1 km (0.6 miles) which includes 400 steps.
If you have a car you can park it in a private garage in the town, or along the public roads although there is no reserved parking space so this depends upon availability of spaces.
