Luxury villa located in the historical centre of Amalfi , just a few steps from the Cathedral and its famous square. The sea and the beach are within walking distance, only few minutes away. The villa have a private terrace - garden, in fact you enter the villa from the terrace. It has been completely restored and renewed in 2002. Villa Gardenia is a typical Amalfitan house, happy and pleasant: the floor is made of fabulous hand-painted majolica . The cellings are high and with characteristic barrel vaults. Finely furnished with antique furniture and decorated in perfect mediterranean style it is equipped with television, dishwashing machine , washing machine, fridge and any kind of comforts. Cool and warm air-conditioned. The bright villa is located on two floors and it includes: a large dining- living area and sofa-corner, furnished with antique family furniture(armchairs, sofa and dining table) with an exit to the shaded and equipped garden/terrace , embellished with flowers, fragrant mandarin and lemon trees it is organized as a living room with chairs and table of old iron and “ceramica” stones hand . From the living room you can access also the to the kitchen furnished in complete way with new and and functional equippment: one large fridge with freezer, 4- burner stove, oven, hood fan, dish-washing machine, iron and table. Near the kitchen there is also a bathroom with Wc. shower and washing machine. Few stairs from the living room lead to the sleep-area where are two double bedrooms with king size bed , and one bedroom with two twin -beds , two bathrooms.The first one decorated with green ceramics has a bath . The second bathroom decorated with flowered maiolica (white and black) like the first one has a shower. The sleep area has balcony views over the living room. Villa Gardenia is part of an ancient and elegant palace owned by one of the historical families of Amalfi. The villa is on the first floor. It can be reached from the main street of Amalfi (the street for shopping and promenades) you will get to the building through a typical narrow pedestrian lane long about 30 meters (32 yards). Stores restaurants and meeting points are well within reach. In Amalfi there are beaches in the centre of the village, which can be reached by foot from Villa Gardenia. From the docks you can board small boats that will take you in beautiful beaches that can only be reached from the sea. These little beaches are as romantic as the Amalfi Coast can get. The sea is beautiful, and for those who plan on spending a full day at the beach some of them even have restaurants or bars. Villa Gardenia is also just five minutes from Piazza Flavio Gioia, where the buses that travel along the Amalfi Coast can be boarded (you can easily reach the other villages of the coast, as well as Pompeii, Paestum, Naples and Salerno). Nearby you can also board ferries that connect Amalfi to Positano, Capri and Salerno. Cruises of the coast seen from the sea is something that you can’t miss. The property is indeed a great place to stay on the Amalfi Coast. You will be able to shop for fashion and handmade goods; enjoy the local happenings of cultural, musical and artistic interest that take place throughout the year. If you like night life, you can choose among several exclusive nightclubs and piano bars.
