"Peperoncina" is situated in a beautifully peaceful
location in Conca dei Marini, a picturesque
paradise facing the sea between Amalfi and Positano.
The Amalfi Coast has thousand stories to tell,
among vineyards and gardens, balconies and precipices,
alleys and yards, hidden and denied to haste.
The healthiness of the mild climate, the crystal
clear sea and the breathtaking panorama framed
by scented flowers and lemon groves, the steep
rocks hanging over the waves and rising up towards
the sky, make this village the ideal place for
a wonderful holiday! The beach of Conca dei
Marini is well-known in Italy and abroad: famous
people like Kennedy, Princess Carolina of Monaco,
Moet-Chandon and Gianni Agnelli enjoyed the
magic atmosphere of this village. In Conca dei
Marini you may find sightseeing of particular
artistic interest: The Convent of Santa Rosa,
on the steep slope of a mountain, where the
nuns produced the delicious "sfogliatella Santa
Rosa", a type of pastry filled with cream and
fruit pieces; The Torre Bianca, erected in the
XVI century to guard and defend from the Saracen
Invasions; The Church of San Antonio, perched
on a cliff, that offers splendid views of the
Coast and of Amalfi; The Basilica of San Pancras
that overlooks the bay of the well known Emerald
Grotto with its deep cobalt-blue waters and
its bizarre stalactites and stalagmites. The
Apartment can host 4 persons and represents
a marvellous choice for people seeking the tranquillity
of a small village. "Peperoncina" means "Chilli",
the small green or red fruit used in cooking
to give a hot taste to food. We chose this attractive
name because the Apartment is decorated with
fantasy and much colour (orange, yellow and
green are the predominant hues), blended together
by a general touch of creative intuition, in
order to make the Apartment look more warm and
ready to welcome you. To reach it there are
few ramps of steps from the road where you may
park your car. Before you cross the courtyard
you may enjoy the sight of the blue sea and
the splendid natural beauty of the Amalfi Coast,
lined by walls that protect thick groves of
lemons with fruit-laden limbs. In the background
appear Li Galli or "Sirenuse", a tiny archipelago
made up of three islets considered the ancient
dwelling of the enchanting Sirens, and the island
of Capri, one of the magnetic points of the
earth. Through the courtyard in bloom, with
the sweet smell of the jasmine, you will arrive
at "Peperoncina". The Apartment is composed
of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 living room with
a well equipped Kitchenette that has cooking
utensils, a cooker, a dishwasher, a refrigerator
and an electric oven. Through a big window in
the living room much natural light enters this
room and the kitchenette. The first bedroom
has a double bed, a large wardrobe for hanging
clothes, a round mirror on the wall, a chest
of drawers for keeping underclothes in and a
chair with a small soft cushion to make the
seat more comfortable. The second bedroom has
two single bed with a bedside table, a table
lamp and a pretty wardrobe. Both the bedrooms
have no windows. The first bathroom is very
spacious and decorated with coloured tiles (blue
and white like the waves breaking on the shore).
It has a shower, a closet, a bidet, a sink,
a large mirror and a window facing a garden.
The other bathroom is simply furnished with
the closet, the washing machine, a washhouse
and a little window. The living room is a really
pleasant and cosy room where you may choose
the best way to enjoy your break: reading a
good book( you will find some English, German
and Italian books in the house), watching the
satellite TV or tasting a delicious Mediterranean
meal with your family prepared with the genuine
ingredients of this village. What are you waiting
for?
Accommodation:
At
the entrance you will find the living room with
a nice bunch of brightly coloured orange and
yellow tulips in the middle of the table. There
are also some chillies among them. It seems
as they are waving at you in a friendly way,
pleased to receive you. On your left there is
the door so that you can get in the bedroom
with the double bed. When you get out of the
bedroom there are some shelves on the wall where
the hi-fi system for playing recorded music
and the two loudspeakers are placed on. There
are also two glass cases with tea services,
a set of glasses and some dishes. Then you'll
find the bedroom with two single bed. At the
corner there is a pretty flower-pot with large
yellow sunflowers and, on the wall, a marvellous
picture of the famous beach of Conca dei Marini
and the sliding door of the spacious bathroom.
On the right you'll find the well-equipped kitchenette
with the window that allows light and air to
come in. Then there's the door of the second
bathroom. As the apartment is in the centre
of the village you can easily reach the butcher's
shop, the supermarket, the chemist's shop, the
bars, the post office, a football ground and
a tennis court, a little funfair for children,
the lady's hairdresser and the barber, the Town
Hall, the City Police, a ceramic shop, the petrol
station, two clothes' shops, the first aid station
and a green area near San Pancras, a private
platform on the sea with swimming pool.
