La Duchessa is well situated in the historical
centre of Amalfi , five minutes walking from
the Cathedral and from its famous square. The
sea and the beach are within walking distance,
only a few minutes away. Apartment “La Duchessa”
has two bedrooms and a large living room. It
sleeps four people. The apartment is airy and
luminous: it has a big terrace of 150 square
meters embellished with flowers , which has
a gazebo with a hand beaten iron table and a
fountain dating back to the 400’s . The terrace
have a view on the main street(the street of
the shops and restaurants). it has been completely
restored and renewed in 2000. Apartment “la
Duchessa” is a typical Amalfitan house, happy
and pleasant: the floor is made of fabulous
hand-painted majolica (white , yellow, and green
decorated with painted flowers). The cellings
are high and with characteristic barrel waults.
The living room is furnished with antique family
furniture (armchairs, color TV - stereo, sofa
and dining table). From the living room you
can access to the main bedroom with a view on
the embellished terrace, two sets of stairs
from the kitchen lead to the smaller bedroom
with two single beds. The smaller bedroom has
a balcony views over the lounge. From the living
room you will also be able to enter the kitchen,
furnished in complete way with new and functional
equippment: one large fridge with freezer, 4
-burner stove, oven, hood fan. The bathroom,
decorated with flowered majolica, has a shower.
The apartment has a washing machine and an iron.
Apartment La Duchessa is part of an ancient
and elegant palace characterized by its numerous
arab arches, one of which depicts the many battles
that took place here in Amalfi and can been
seen as you enter the foyer of the Palace. The
apartment is on the first floor of this famous
arab architectur building and can be reached
also with (the elevator).Stores, restaurants
and meeting points are well within reach. Apartment
“La Duchessa” is also just five minutes from
Piazza Flavio Gioia, where the buses that travel
along Amalfi Coast can be boarded (you can easily
reach the other villages of the coast , as well
as Pompeii, Paestum, Naples and Salerno). Nearby
you can also board the ferries that connect
Amalfi to Positano, Capri, and Salerno. Cruises
of the coast are also available. The show of
the Amalfi Coast seen from the sea is something
that you can’t miss.

FLOOR: Apartment La Duchessa is an apartment
of about 80 square meters. It has two bedrooms,
a large living room, one bathroom , a kitchen
area and a terrace of about (150 meters). It
is located in the historical centre of Amalfi,
in an area that can’t be accessed by cars. It
is about 300 meters (320yards) from the sea.
It is on the first floor of an elegant and historical
building (with elevator). One bedroom has a
double bed (160cm, 63 inches), wardrobe and
chest of drawers, and balcony with view on the
big terrace. The other bedroom has a single
bed (90 cm, 36 inches) that slides under the
first bed, The bathroom has the shower. The
large living room has a view and access to the
spectacular terrace of about 150 square meters,
two sofa, table, TV, stereo,. In the kitchen
there is a refrigerator with freezer, 4 -burner
stove, oven, , washing machine and iron.
